In my spare time, I like to paint watercolors, learn French, write English and Arabic calligraphy, read, and travel!
I've just picked up watercolor painting this past year, just to give myself something to do while in quarantine. I have a lot of fun doing it and mostly enjoy plein air sketching!
I've recently obtained a very good reason to learn French, and my goal is to become fluent within the next five years. It's a difficult language to learn, especially in quarantine, and I can't wait to take in-person classes once the world goes back to normal (whenever that may be).
I've been interested in calligraphy since I was middle school, and I recent took a class on Arabic calligraphy while at CMU. I have a lot of fun writing letters to friends using this skills, and of course, I have a wax seal to embellish an already over-the-top letter.
